TC House

Location

TLAJOMULCO, JALISCO MEXICO

In the foothills of the Bosque de la Primavera, this house sits in an environment without great immediate architectural richness, but with a latent promise: the open view of the distant landscape and the proximity to the forest. Faced with this contrast, the house is protected at its edges and rises towards the light, seeking a more intimate dialogue with the horizon.

The implementation strategy is based on an introspective logic. Perimeter walls are erected, which, within the normative limits, contain three gardens: one outside, which contributes to the immediate urban landscape, and two inside, which open the house towards the sky and create an atmosphere of calm. In the center, a tree welcomes from the entrance and organizes life around its presence.

The program is clearly distributed. The social areas on the first floor extend towards the main garden, framed by a wall that delimits and emphasizes the distant view. The master bedroom, also on the first floor, is located in the heart of the project, embracing the central courtyard as a natural extension of the interior. On the upper level, the children's spaces unfold autonomously, connecting with patios, terraces and the view of the forest.

A double-height library connects both levels and proposes a pause: a space of recollection that provides the backbone of the project. The materiality is sober: white, horizontal, serene volumes, where light becomes matter and time becomes texture. Privacy is not imposed as an enclosure, but as a conscious choice.

Casa TC is a contained, luminous and open house at the same time. A refuge designed to be lived in calmly and to look outside without losing the inside.
